Boo Tips for Parents
Turning spooky moments into safe, sweet lessons.

Celebrate Small Steps
Every little victory counts! If your child stays in their room for five minutes with the lights off, cheer them on. Confidence grows when kids see progress celebrated with love.

Stories Build Confidence
Stories are powerful tools. That’s why the Boo Buddies podcast is designed for families to listen together. Hearing Manny and Dulce María face ghostly surprises helps kids realize they can handle challenges too. Parents can use the stories as starting points: “How would you help La Gata if she was afraid?”

Turn Fear into Play
The Boo Buddies remind us that spooky can be fun! Parents can use imagination and play to help kids: Make up a silly song about the thing that feels scary. Pretend to be brave Boo Buddies exploring a “haunted” room with flashlights. Draw or color the scary thing — and then give it a funny face.

Listen First
When kids talk about fears, listen with care. Instead of saying “Don’t be scared,” ask gentle questions: “What does it feel like?” “What do you think might happen?”This shows kids that their feelings matter and gives you clues about how to help.
